Dinner at a Professor’s House

One of the best things about going to Transylvania is the connection that you are able to make with your professors. In my two years here, I feel like I have gotten close to several of my professors. When I told some of my friends who attend different colleges that I was going to dinner at my professor’s house, they looked at me in disbelief.One of them wasn’t even sure if her professors knew her name.

Believe it or not, it’s true! Dr. Rondini invited all twelve of us in her “Health, Illness, and Community” Sociology course to have a home-cooked meal at her house this past weekend. She even made one of my favorites (eggplant parmesan) just because she overheard me talking about it! It was a really nice way to end the semester; we ate tons of great food, talked about our summer plans, and played with her adorable poodles. Continue reading
